Forty students, from across the diocese, came together on Saturday 7 January at the Centre for Catholic Formation, Tooting Bec, to undertake the first study day of the Diocesan Catechetical Certificate (DCC).
Input from Dr Caroline Farey and Carol Harnett introduced the course's first cohort of students to the history of salvation, the sources of faith and the distance learning methods which this course employs.
The enthusiastic group of students came away inspired and eager to get involved with their practical activities.
Owing to the level of interest, a follow up session is planned to allow those unable to attend on Saturday to catch up ahead of the main second session in June. If you are interested in joining the group please contact: Frances Roxburgh on 01364 645660
